Turtle Beach has updated their Stealth 600 headsets with a new set of second-generation alternatives, led by the new Stealth 600 Gen 2 Max, a headset that, from a gamer’s perspective, has cracked the golden grail: it will function wirelessly with both Xbox and PlayStation systems.
The headset’s dongle contains a useful button that allows you to convert between Xbox compatibility and a USB mode that works with PC, Switch, and PlayStation 4 or PS5 consoles. This type of toggle has been seen previously, on SteelSeries’ Arctis 1 Wireless for Xbox headset, but it’s incredibly uncommon.
That could be because headset manufacturers want customers to buy two headsets if they have two consoles, but having a headset that works with both will be music to the ears of many people.
The claimed battery life of 48 hours on a charge is also noteworthy, and the sound quality should be excellent based on our testing of the first-generation Stealth 600 in early 2021.
The headgear will be available in early April 2022 for ÂŁ129.99 or $129.99, depending on whether you want red, black, or white camo.
