The Find X5 Pro, Oppo’s future flagship smartphone, has been revealed in a new leak from the typically dependable WinFuture. We’ve even been given some renderings, which we’ve posted on our website.
It has been previously leaked, and certainly, it is what we would have thought, that the new flagship would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU. According to the latest leak, the Oppo Find X5 Pro will come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, with neither of these capacities being extendable through an external memory card.
The forthcoming phone is said to include a massive 5,000mAh battery, which is becoming normal for mid-range and flagship phones, as well as support for fast charging up to 80 watts. A 6.7-inch 3216 x 1440 pixel display with a 120Hz refresh rate is also expected to be included in the Oppo Find X5 Pro according to the source.
Oppo Find X5 Pro: Official announcement
To find out if the reported specifications and design are accurate, we’ll have to wait, but we’re hoping it won’t be too long before Oppo makes its official announcement. It appears that an announcement will be made at the Mobile World Congress 2022, which begins on February 28th.
Oppo Find X5 Pro: Camera system
WinFuture claims that the Oppo Find X5 Pro will be equipped with a Hasselblad triple-lens camera system on the back with a 50 MP+50 MP + 13 MP configuration and 5x optical zoom, according to the leak. This corresponds to the information that has been tipped earlier, which increases the likelihood that it is accurate information.
The design of the Oppo Find X5 Pro, as seen in the leaked renderings, has the same odd camera hump as the Oppo Find X3 Pro, but the main lenses have been moved to the opposite side of the device for the next flagship.
Aside from its appearance, the Oppo Find X5 Pro sounds are nearly identical to the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G in terms of specs. This is due to the fact that the two firms are combining and will now be working together, which means that we may expect fewer models in the future.
Oppo and OnePlus are merging
If you’re paying attention, you’ve probably already noticed that, aside from aesthetics, the Oppo Find X5 Pro sounds strikingly similar to the recently announced Oppo OnePlus 10 Pro – many of their specifications are nearly identical, including the 6.7-inch screen size and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor under the hood.
This is something that should be expected: Following the announcement of their merger last year, a large number of the companies’ hardware and software teams will now be working together. It’s conceivable that a few phone models may be dropped as a result of this transition period.
As fans of both Oppo and OnePlus phones over the last several years, it’s a shame that there will be less of them in the future – but the firms clearly believe they will be better equipped to compete against the likes of Samsung and Apple as a result of their collaboration.
And, if you’re wondering what happened to the Oppo Find X4, the number four is considered unlucky in China, so it doesn’t have particularly positive connotations in the country. The Oppo Find X5 Pro will be the straight successor to the Oppo Find X3 Pro in terms of design and functionality.
