Honor has teased the launch of its first foldable smartphone, the Magic V, which is expected to be the company’s next flagship product.

On the company’s official Twitter account, the first photograph was revealed. However, aside from displaying the phone’s hinge, there are few details available. Although no official release date has been given, their Weibo account appears to indicate that it will be released shortly.

The Magic V’s design is unknown, but Korean tech website The Elec claims that Honor’s foldable smartphone would have an inner screen of 8.03 inches and a cover screen of 6.45 inches. BOE Technology Group, a manufacturer of electrical components, will provide ultra-thin glass for the device.

This design is identical to that of the Huawei Mate X2, Honor’s old parent firm, as it turns out. Huawei, on the other hand, is prohibited from conducting business in the United States, which provides Honor a distinct advantage.

The Magic V, like the Honor 50, will come with Google Mobile Service and be pre-installed with Google apps because it still has access to the Android licence.
