Meet GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon 6 GB With Full ACM-G11 GPU, Starting at $150 US, Intel's First Arc Custom Graphics Card is Pictured Here

The GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon 6 GB, which is Intel’s first fully customized Arc graphics card and comes equipped with a full ACM-G11 GPU, has been photographed.

GUNNIR has introduced the Arc A380 Photon 6 GB Graphics Card, which is the First Intel Arc Custom Design. Prices for this product start at US$150

In the OEM and Pre-built PC markets in the Asian Pacific region, GUNNIR has developed into a very successful and well-known graphics card maker. They are now back with the first custom DG2 graphics card, the GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon, which features 6 GB of GDDR6 memory and the full ACM-G11 GPU from Intel. They have been among the first to offer custom flavors of the DG1 graphics card in custom flavor, and they are among the first to offer custom flavors of the DG2 graphics card.

An entry-level graphics card, the Intel Arc A380 will have the complete ACM-G11 GPU and will be built on the Alchemist Xe-HPG architecture. This card will be manufactured by Intel. It houses the complete GPU configuration, which utilizes either 8 Xe-Cores or 1024 ALUs, depending on the model. The graphics card also includes 6 gigabytes (GB) of GDDR6 memory that operates at a TBP speed of around 92 watts (W).

The fact that the card is rated to operate at a maximum frequency of 2450 MHz demonstrates that Intel is making effective use of the 6nm process node offered by TSMC. The GUNNIR custom model has a VRAM clock of 15.5 Gbps, which results in 186 GB/s of bandwidth. In comparison, the reference model has a clock of 16 Gbps, which results in 192 GB/s of bandwidth.

When it comes to the graphics card itself, the GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon is packaged in a normal box that bears the marketing logos for Intel Arc 3, XeSS, and DirectX 12 Ultimate. This graphics card is sold under the brand name GUNNIR. A heatsink made of metal is concealed beneath the graphics card, which features a design that accommodates two slots and two fans.

Both the backplate and the shroud have an attractive color scheme that consists of black and grey, and the backplate extends further than the PCB. A single heat pipe made of nickel-plated copper measuring 6 millimeters in diameter and running through the heatsink is present.

It is not known if the card uses a custom PCB or a reference design; however, it does come with a single 8-pin power socket and incorporates a 2+1 phase VRM design. This information is not currently available. Even the most basic of graphics cards can have a more high-end appearance thanks to the shroud, which bears a logo that reads “Intel Arc” on one of its sides and bears a GUNNIR Photon logo that glows thanks to LED illumination.

On the backplate of the card, there is also a blue and black colored trim that serves to improve the card’s visual appeal. Display outputs consist of a single HDMI output in addition to three DisplayPort outputs. The card has dimensions of 222 mm by 114 mm by 42 mm, and the fans each measure 90 mm.

Additionally, the official announcement of the reference graphics card for the Intel Arc A380 has been made for the Chinese market. The card has a design that consists of a single fan and two slots for expansion. The GUNNIR variant has an overclocked design, however the reference model has a clock speed of 2000 MHz and a thermal boundary power (TBP) of 75W, which implies that it does not require any kind of external power connector. This is in contrast to the GUNNIR variant. This summer, the graphics card will be available in a variety of pre-built configurations from industry-leading manufacturers including ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, and ACER, as well as in DIY custom configurations like the GUNNIR variant that is shown above.

Even though the GUNNIR Arc A380 Photon 6 GB graphics card has been made official, we anticipate that the card will continue to be an exclusive GPU offering for the Asian market. We anticipate that other manufacturers will bring the Arc A380 and the rest of the higher-end lineup to the market by the later part of Summer in other regions.

The graphics card can be purchased for 1030 Chinese Yuan, which is equivalent to $150 in United States currency. This price point is fairly acceptable for the entry-level market given the features that it includes. At this point, the only thing left to determine is when it will be made available in other areas.

Intel claims that the Arc A380 is up to 25 percent quicker than the AMD Radeon RX 6400 4 GB graphics card, which should put it in the same ballpark as the RX 6500 XT for $50 less in the United States. The following is a list of official test results that were released by Intel:
