The Mavic 3 – DJI’s next flagship consumer drone – is set to come soon, and we now have a closer look at what the final product may look like.

According to leaked photographs, the drone is relatively huge in comparison to previous versions, with significantly softer lines and curves, as well as a darker paintjob.

Some aspects of the design appear to fit leaked specifications that surfaced on the internet a short time ago. In particular, the drone will be equipped with a twin camera system on the front.
A 12-megapixel telephoto zoom camera and a 20-megapixel primary/wide Micro Four-Thirds sensor are believed to make up the dual camera system.

A massive 46 minutes of flying duration on a full battery is promised, as well as an upgraded ‘Cine’ variant with an inbuilt SSD and high-speed connection for fast transmitting high-bitrate video recordings.

The source of these leaked photographs is unknown, but DroneDJ and GizmoChina, among others, have reported on them. So, while they appear to be genuine, take them with a grain of salt.

Since the Mavic 2 series was released more than three years ago, it’s safe to assume the top-tier consumer versions are long overdue for an update.
